Buro joins OCCRP, the largest network of investigative journalists
The Organized Crime and Corruption Reporting Project is one of the world's largest non-profit organisations dedicated to investigative journalism that exposes corruption and other crimes around the world. OCCRP has more than 60 editorial offices in Europe, Central Asia and Africa, the Caucasus and the Middle East, Latin America and the South Pacifiс. Along with us, editorial offices from Syria, Azerbaijan, Venezuela and other countries have become new members of the network.
“We’re proud to help support media outlets working in exile, covering the tough countries of Syria, Azerbaijan, Belarus, and Venezuela”, said Publisher of OCCRP Drew Sullivan.
OCCRP is a pioneer in cross-border journalism. The organization has been involved in such high-profile projects as the Panama Papers, Paradise Papers, Pandora Papers, Russian Assets Tracker, and others.
In February, the Buro published a joint investigation with the OCCRP into equipment deliveries to the Russian military. Membership in the OCCRP is a great honour and appreciation for our work. Joining such a large international consortium opens up even more opportunities for Buro to cooperate across borders. This means we can contribute to understanding the global picture of crime and corruption and continue to surprise you with new international investigations.
