Lukashenko’s personal physician becomes owner of a pharmacy chain

Aleksandr Lukashenko’s personal physician, Alena Kazak, has become the owner of a pharmacy chain in Belarus.

As Buro has learned, in August 2024, ownership of Ligmaton, previously held by Georgi Topouzidis and his mother, Galina Petrovitch, was transferred to Alena Kazak. Thanks to the CyberPartisans, we discovered that the company has employed Lukashenko’s personal physician since July 2024.

Georgi Topouzidis is the son of Pavel Topouzidis, a prominent Belarusian businessman and Lukashenko's "wallet".

 

Together with his business partner, Victor Petrovich, Pavel Topouzidis controls Tabak-Invest and develops the Korona chain of shopping centres and hypermarkets. He is also involved in tobacco production and other major business ventures in Belarus.

The new owner was initially listed in the company’s records as Alena Uladzimirauna Kazak. We are unaware if this was intentional or an error, but her patronymic was subsequently altered. Alena Kazak’s patronymic changed from Uladzimirauna to Heorhiyeuna sometime between February 2025 and August 2026. However, no record of structural changes to the company was filed. According to the current record extract, Lukashenko’s personal physician has owned the Ligmaton pharmacies since August 2024. Galina Petrovitch, Georgi Topouzidis’s mother, remains the company’s director.

 

Ligmaton runs a network of pharmacies across Belarus and participates in government tenders to supply various medications. In 2025, the company’s revenue amounted to 83.6 million Belarusian rubles, and its net profit was 2.79 million Belarusian rubles.

 

Earlier, Buro learned that another one of Aleksandr Lukashenko’s favourites is tied to Ligmaton. Maryia Vasilevich, a former member of parliament, has been listed there as a senior specialist in commercial operations since July 2024.
